Practiced by the Hawaiian people for generations and originally done by the Hawaiian Kahunas, lomilomi, which means massage, uses flowing strokes of the hands and forearms. Christina began learning this holistic healing tradition from her grandmother when she was only three years old! Her grandmother had learned it from Christina’s great, great grandfather in a family lineage going back to the 1700’s. Christina began working as an actual practitioner of lomilomi some 20 years ago and continues to stay motivated in her profession because she knows she is helping people and perpetuating a part of her culture. She is sharing the spirituality and the aloha of ancient lomilomi techniques to effect change and foster healing, even in clients with chronic conditions. We, at Seek Spot by Be Our Guest, feel this type of massage must be experienced in order to truly understand and appreciate the unique and wonderful aspects of it! We highly recommend that you call Christina at Ali’I Lomilomi (808-295-1786) and give this Hawaiian tradition a try!
